Inspiring young minds
through Spanish

The Spanish North London Club
The Essence of SNLC
At The Spanish North London Club, creativity and self-expression are at the heart of our philosophy. We strive for children to progress without them even realizing It! Whether it’s winning a game, participating in a dramatization, or choosing an activity of the day, every moment encourages them to use the language in fun and meaningful ways.
We combine short-term and long-term rewards to make learning Spanish both an exciting immediate experience and a fulfilling journey. Our goal is to inspire children as much as they inspire us, building a shared learning experience that takes us all further and enriches us along the way.
We offer playgroups, breakfast clubs, and both in-school and after-school clubs to children from 6 months to 11 years old. Each stage of childhood is unique, so we tailor our materials and methods accordingly—but our principles remain consistent.
Creative and engaging Classes
Our classes combine songs, games, pronunciation exercises, and arts and crafts to create a vibrant and interactive learning experience. With a child-centred approach, we embrace each student’s creativity and energy, making every session engaging and fun.
Through listening and repeating Spanish expressions, children gradually build the confidence to produce their sentences. This is where the fun continues! Whether greeting someone in Spanish, ordering a sandwich at a Spanish café, or playing a character in a drama activity, we strive for every child to feel proud of their progress and impressed by their abilities.
Learning a new language takes time, so why not enjoy every step of the journey?
Interactive Learning
We foster a collaborative culture in our classes, blending both cooperative and competitive elements to engage children in meaningful ways. While some activities include a competitive edge, many are designed to encourage teamwork and mutual support.
Our lessons are carefully structured to maintain high levels of motivation and focus. Activity durations, smooth transitions, and active student participation are all key to creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. For example, during a game, a student who demonstrates confidence and understanding might take on the teacher’s role, giving simple instructions or leading part of the activity.
Cultural exploration
This is another important aspect of our approach. We aim to broaden children’s awareness of different cultures, languages, cuisines, and traditions. For instance, we might discuss how many countries around the world speak Spanish, connecting language learning to London’s diverse community.
Celebrating achievements
At the end of each term, we celebrate the children’s progress with a special session. This could be an open class for parents or a Spanish drama performance, giving children the opportunity to showcase their achievements. Each child also receives an end-of-term diploma
Shaping the Best Experience Together
We are constantly striving to improve every aspect of our classes, down to the smallest details, to ensure the most meaningful and enjoyable experience possible. We value feedback and are always eager to learn more about our students’ passions. Whether it’s a video game that could be played in Spanish, a favorite book or movie, or the activities they enjoy most in class, this insight is invaluable to us.
Don’t hesitate to reach out and share your thoughts—we’d love to hear from you!
